No, I've actually taken a couple Astronomy courses, 103/104 last year.

Sure, but give me a bit. I may have to consult my textbook, it's been a few months since astro, haha.

I'm pretty sure that as an object increases in speed, its mass increases as well. For something to travel at exactly the speed of light, its mass would have to be infinite. So "technically" and object could only go 99.99% the speed of light.

Let me check out my old notes though if that doesn't make sense.

 

No prob I would be curious to hear what current teachings say on this.
