No seriously Pewter03GMC, he sold you a 6.0? He told me that he put a bored and stroked 6.0 (I think he said 408?) in his truck. So when I got all this **** done to my truck I figured his truck should KILL mine scince it weighs so much less and should have a ton more power. So we raced and I won by I would like to say 8 or so full truck lengths in the quarter.... needless to say I put two and two together just now and wabaam he sold you the 6.0 and didn't put it in his truck. Sorry you got screwed that is

yea man, he sold me a 6.0 that he swore had the correct crank and aluminum heads........and when I get it, it has iron heads and the wrong crank. Lil bastard, I've sent him pm's and emails and I even found his house number once and called him. I told him to send me half of my money back, but he never did. Hell I even called the local P.D. one time, and I swore I was talking to Andy Griffith or some podunk lame as cop that didnt help me.

 

Yes I have sent the check out to gerald. It was sent out a couple of weeks ago but i had the wrong address on it. I have sent it once again to the RIGHT address and when he gets it he will be able to tell everyone that he got it and see the date on it is back in november when i sent it. The reason it was so late getting to him is that the were marks on it and shavings in the bearings so i sent it into eaton to get all checked out before i paid for it. When i got the ok i sent out the money. I do have a 2002 lq4 in my truck and it is all stock down to having the egr off my 99 5.3 and manifolds. I didn't get beat by like 8 truck or more either 954rr. There are 2 others that saw it and it was more like 3 trucks if that. Hell i beat him out of the hole and we were both spinning. He didn't pass me tell about middle of 2nd.

 

Why the hell did it take this guy so long to respiong to this thread, Gerald's emails, and pm's.

 

Whatever dude...I will record the next race (if your up to it) and post it then! I will also unload 900lbs worth of tools first though to get the weight "closer" to being even. Glad to see you finially responded now that I said your truck got beat.

 

Update for everyone...Dad received a check from Getsome Saturday and it was dated 11-28-03...

Thanks for taking care of this. But I must give some advice. Unless it was part of the deal, if you thought the part was defective, send it back, or contact the person you bought it from. Leaving them hanging the way you did hurts you buyer/seller reputation.

 

This went too long without communication.
