the DOD lifters (8) are longer than normal lifters, so the lobes are shorter on those lifters. why buy a cam set up for DOD? you'll never get the full advantage of the cam swap if you do that imo.

you need an LS2/LS7 valley cover, standard lifters, LS7 lifter trays, head gaskets, new head bolts (i like ARP vs stock) thats all that is needed to delete the DOD.
front timing cover gasket/front seal/Crank bolt is needed to pull the cam. if i was you id update the tensioner to the LS2 wedge style tensioner IMO

That's a steal for someone. That thing has 243 heads and a 90mm intake. If I were one of you guys I'd buy it, keep the heads and intake and sell the shortblock for half
