how loud do you want it JMC. I am going to be running true duals tomorrow with an xpipe. I personally don't like the sound of the 2 chambers becasue of all the resonance. I am running 2 one chambers flowmaster with a magnaflow x pipe. I will be putting on doug thorley headers in a few months if everything works out. My truck right now sounds more like a race car and is loud as ****. Also I don't have any cats.

I don't want to be TOO loud and redneck sounding. I had a Dakota 5.2 manual trans with no cat, 40 series flows, turn downs and loved it. But now I have a 2 year old I tote around alot and don't want her or for a long trip to be uncomfortable. But the Gibson just ain't cuttin it. Maybe an electric cutout would be the way. What sound difference will the x-pipe make versus a straight exhaust and also what sound difference would a set of Doug Thorleys make? Some people say they don't like it but I like the kinda "tinny" sound. Gone in 60 Seconds has a perfect spot when Eleanor is idleling. I think I wore that spot out on my DVD is there was such a thing.
