I just bought the new updated 4l80e hd2 kit from transgo, and want to know if anyone has and old style still new and un touched. I will trade even up. This one has the spacer plate and makes for an easy install. The old style shift kit should have part number 4l80e-hd2-a on it. Let me know what you have.

 

Whats the difference in them? I think I have one. I'll double check the part number.

 

the new one has the spacer plate and the old one does not. If you have the old one on the install directions it will have 4l80e-hd2-a, and the new one will have 4l80e-hd2-d. The new one was made to ease the install and comes with the heavy duty spacer plate. The old one has gear command and the new one does not. I know FLT does not install the gear command but I think I would like to have it as an option. If you do not need your kit let me know I will trade you or I will buy yours from you.
