it can just be replaced, but . . . I'd get the LS2 cam gear, and the red o-ring for the oil pump

The oil pump has to come off to get the timing chain off

will the ls2 timing chain fit nbs 5.3 and also the oil pump? is it ported or its like a stock pump?

I have 3 pumps . . . 2 are stock, and the 3rd is "ported"

Yes the chain will fit a NBS or NNBS or GMT900
