Smile FS: NIB Circle D 5-Disc 4L80E Converter

Up for sale is a brand new never installed Circle D 5-disc 4L80E torque converter. The converter was built for FI applications and should stall 2800-3200 depending on your power level. 265mm diameter with traditional 4L80E 6-lug front cover. Converter has never had fluid in it, and has been sitting on a shelf since the build date 3/11/10. Can call Chris at Circle D to confirm specs if you please, he's only built a handful of these for WOT lockup in 800+hp applications. I don't have a use for it in my S10 right now so my loss your gain.

Brand new the converter goes for 1500 with tax local pickup.
Asking 1100 shipped including paypal fees.

I wish I could afford this now but I am putting the build on hold. I am going to need something along the lines of this. Maybe not quite as extreme.

this is irrelevant to the post.

But I had an 80e/HD2 overhauled by Rusty and I love it!

He also told me about brown lures, that is AWESOME! now the redfish in your avatar makes some much sense!

I miss being back near the coast, theres nothing like saltwater fishing!

jg53,

How many miles did you put on the 80E?

How much power did you put through it?

J,

sorry for the misunderstanding. I just meant that it was built by him. Its still in the truck!

I will be, in the next couple of weeks, throwing the blower on. Hopefully by the end of summer the cam swap will be done as well.

Yeah it's pretty much the biggest baddest converter Chris makes from what he explained to me. Can lock it at WOT with 800-1000hp, a lot depends on the vehicle weight.

That's awesome man, Rusty's a great guy. He built the 60E that's in my truck a while back, and he's built like 10-15 transmissions for customers of mine including the fully built 80E going in my S10. Great guy and a fair price too.

Yeah the lure business is fun, I own/operate it with my brother on the side

Yes he does seem like a stand up guy. He had told me that you have sent him a good amount of business. He seems to stay busy with his side jobs. I loved the price tag.

I bet that business is great fun, especially the R&D department! I'm headed back to the coast this weekend. Hopefully Matagorda produces this weekend.
