I bought a set of 8) MSD coils for the trucks used from another member a couple weeks ago. I thought the deal was a little too good to be true but chalked it up to the member needing money.
I got the coils and put them on my truck. One coil was/is not firing properly. I have experimented with the wiring, different plug wires and spark plugs. The one coil is firing, just very weak. The others are firing perfectly. The truck runs on 7cyl with them plugged in.
The member basically says they worked fine on his truck and hasn't offered any compensation or resolution other than to suggest I "call MSD to see if they have any suggestions", so it looks like I am on my own with them. In my mind, there is only 1 way to plug in a coil, so it's not like I'm doing it wrong or something.
So I am basically looking to sell 7) MSD coils. You'll have to replace the 8th (I have marked which one it is) unless you think you can figure out what the problem is (maybe wave a magic wand over it or "call MSD"). I think they are worth $200 shipped in the 48 US. You can still get a new replacement coil from summit for under $100 shipped http://www.summitracing.com/parts/MSD-8246/ and still be $300 less than a whole set sells for.
The 8 coils come mounted on brackets but without wiring harness.
