It's a 4L65E. That's what came in the truck originally so that's what I put back in there when I had to replace the original. At the time I wasn't sure I had to go to a 4L80 yet so I didn't. I am now working on more upgrades to the truck so I decided to start off with upgrading the trans first.

What's the rating on the level 5? I'm in the market but putting together a 415ci turbo engine. Not sure if I need the level 5 or 7?

I honestly wouldn't recommend neither the 5 or the 7 for your application. You need to look at the 4L80.

 

How hard is it to go to the 80? Im running a 65 and fixing to add a procharger on my denali.
