Do you like take the factory one off, slide this over it, and the screw it back on? or does this screw onto the factory post?

It comes with pins to fasten it to the factory pillar. I have a full pillar pod now, but that might be going up FS soon also. The down side to this, is you have to drill your fact pillar, but the plus is that you can mount this way low so it isn't right in your eyes..
