Not knocking the build at all, but to me going from a LT based engine to a LS based engine would be a step back. Is there no other options for LT stroker or bigger cubed LT engines?

I'm not saying going from a 5.3 to a 454 is a step back, I'm saying going from LT to LS is a step back, IMHO. I would do my research and see what big cubes if any options are available for LT platforms. He might have done that and that's why he going from LT to LS.

Lsx454 long block through summit is a little over $10k

You could jump up to the Lt1 stroker but your quite a bit less cubes still than the lsx more cubes more power and the lt1 stroker is only a few hundred dollars less than the lsx so better money spent on the lsx if you're looking to build big numbers in my opinion

You'll be a lot more in it than 10k for the LSX block long block. No telling how much its going to cost to get it running, custom headers, etc.

Either way, its his to do what he pleases with.

Anyways Free BUMP!
