yes i was. i removed the ribs from the top and tried to smooth it out. it also acts as a barrier for the paint. the polymer for the top of the intake leeched thru the paint first time i did it. ran outta time working the top and had to get the truck going again.

is that bondo? did you seal it with primer first? have the rails been modified any?

yes, its bondo, yes, i tried to seal it with primer the first time, but it leeched thru. talked to a paint guy about it. rails have not been modified. only thing i did to the intake was try to smooth out the top and paint it to match my truck
