If your truck had factory bose any truck or suv its installed in the sound wont go loud at all unless the vehicle has the bose as well, the systems in the new trucks are quite complicated, but if it was in a non bose truck it should be plug in play in most trucks, but still the volumn wont be overly loud if you want it too

if truck or suv as uqa non lux sound system (amp in consol)volume will be fine uplevel sound system most cd radio are uplevel (want work with base radio), if truck has y91 lux sound system radio will need to be programed at dealer for that system have put nav radio in truck with harness off ebay to have vss signel (included with radio) volume is fine check with dealer first it not sure about your truck
