Just a bypass valve, you can't over boost, a 7-8-9-10-11-12 exc pulley is all you will get..

powershifting could be an issue, my only experiences with a procharger kit was d1 kit on a 97 stang with a cobra bottom end 2 valve motor pushing 12+psi, it was just a basic kit with a bypass valve dumped to atmosphere and it worked good.

Like Mangled03gmc said, the Procharger kits just use a bypass valve and it will work fine for a manual tranny car. It will work as a bypass under vacuum and when you slam the throttle shut, it will purge the excess boost just like a Blow off valve.
