Cam for Sale
#15
I've been debating on a new cam for my 402. I have a 228 230 now and I want to go bigger. How would this do for drivability and any guesses on power increase? I have the money but I don't want to rush into a cam like I did with the one I have now.

i did not get any dyno numbers on it, i have it in the truck for 2 weeks and then spun a main bearing, it was in a 6.0 with some ported and polished 317 heads gears and all the mods in my sig, cut a 1.77 60' and went 11.89 @ 116mph and on the next run i sprayed out of the hole and blew the converter and spun the main bearing and that was all i could afford i was tapped out on money and had to let it go back.
the driveability on it was fine with a good tuner that knew what he was doing i had no idling problems and you could feel it making power when it was shifting at 6,700rpm specially on nitrous, i about nutted the first night i sprayed on the 6.0 with the cam

PM sent. Who tuned your truck? I have been tuning my own with HP tuners.
I only have a 3200 stall so I will probably lose a little more bottom end than you. I plan on porting a set of 6.0 heads and throwing this cam in to see what it will do.

TRT Performance in Arlington, TX did it for me, i couldn't get it to idle right with me doing it so i took it over to them and Dustin changed a few things for me and was no problem from there on out and i will tell you that truck sounded mean as hell, had the idle set at 950 sounded like it was at 650, you won't noticed much of a bottom end loss really, the gears and hopefully you have headers will help compensate, and if you have spray then you will really have no problem, just leave the line on the button
