This engine looks to be around 2001, not 2004 unless I'm mistaken.

Notice the EGR provisions on the exhaust manifold and intake manifold. It also looks to be drive by cable not DBW like the 2004's came with.

The engine was going in a 1970 chevrolet pickup ie the cable throttle body. And the manifolds are off my project truck that had an 02 6.0 in it. And im sorry that your buddy didnt get the engine.

Still seems weird that you'd have a cut y-pipe instead of an unbolted y-pipe if you say the manifolds are from an 02. Looks exactly complete how they take them out at salvage yards so still seems fishy. I'd be checking all the date codes on the injectors etc etc if I was going to buy it. Earlier on the phone you told me it was a complete pull out from an 04', no mention of it having parts from an 02'. Not worried about getting the engine after these details thanks though.
