Default FS:4l65E for a 2wd

Forsale: Performabuilt level III transmission. I put about 7000 miles on this trans in my street truck. I had broken the input drum and had it repaired at a local shop and all clutches and bands were replaced. I chose to go with a 4l80 instead and now need to sell the 4l65. Only 50 miles on the rebuild. Please note that it nolonger has the hardend input shaft as it got damaged. asking $1500. It will come with a 2200 stallconverter. This is a very solid trans and you can't go wrong at that price. Please PM with questions. I will concider trading for low milage 6.0 or parts for 6.0, heads, block, stroker rotating assembly and so on. Thanks for looking.

What kind of clutches and bands were installed by the local shop? Any paperwork on it from either place?

the bands were the same as performabuilt used not sure on clutches but I can find out. I have original receipt from performabuilt and can provid phone info from shop who did the rebuild. They are real nice guys to work with and thay have built many tranys for me and my Dad in the past, all with great luck.

The input drum broke on the 1-2 shift, on the street, with street tires, in a 2wd truck and waranty was 1 yr, it broke at about 1.5 years and I had about 6000 on the trans. I bought it prior to the 2 yr warenty was in efect. Trust me, I called them to see what they could do. It is proven that 4l65s don't handle the torque from boosted motors in 5500# trucks regardless of HP handling claims. There are many posts about it all over this forum. Great choice for towing, low boost, NA or cars.
