Default 449CI LS2 Short Block

****SOLD****

LS2 block re-sleeved by Rapid Motorsports, Diamond Pistons, Calies Compstar rods and Dragonslayer short snout crank, Target compression was 12:1 with 72cc heads

Bore:4.16
Stroke:4.125

Pistons:-2cc, 11 degree cut pistons .004 in the hole

Cam: 254/256 duration @.050, 678/680 lift 114LSA

I bought this short block from a guy named Jordan who at the time worked at RPM Motorsports in Deleware (may still). This short block was run in it's current configuration with ported LS7 heads and the cam that is in the block now and laid down 611RWHP. He then wanted more power, broke the engine down, took it to Rapid who built it to have it gone over and sold it to me here in the classified section. It is still in the same plastic wrap as when it left Rapid. Looking for $5000 which is what I paid when I picked it up in Delaware in 2007. Would rather not ship but if I do it would be at buyers expense. Can deliver for $.53 per mile one way, do not mind delivering especially at a price that covers gas.

Thanks, Keith

What was the mpg or this was this a strictly race motor? Does it run now?

Did not get an mpg report from the previous owner but he actually dd'd it in his ZO6 C5 for about a year. He could have raced it once but they would immediately kick him off the track (no safety equipment). It is a short block only so it would need heads and stuff to run.
