What do I need to tell vatozone to get one for an 04? Mine has the wide, 1inch plug. All the new ones have a small half inch plug.

They build 145A, 160A, 180A, 200A, 225A, and 250A with the 1 inch plug, I have a NAPA 200A alternator in my 02. You'll need a new belt (I just asked for one from an 05 with the 145A alternator) because the high output alternators stand a hair taller, and are based off of the 145A.

 

So I can tell them I have an 04, and get a 145? I had a friend tell me that as well.

I thought they only showed a 105 for mine, but maybe that's only the ones they had in stock.

 

The 145amp alternator that I installed on my 99 is intended for an 03 Denali IIRC...I remember changing the plug on the harness side but I can't remember why...

 

Or esle you could just ask them for the alternator from a 6L 2500HD because 99% come with the higher amps.

 

Well with some work the one with a 03 surburban 2500 will do it. You just gotta make them work for the 145 amp. I appreciate the help.
