Yes,you would have to run a truck intake and accessary drive to make it fit.You would need custom tuning too.

you can run the LS6 intake and accessories or the truck intake accessories, take your pick. If you have just a long block the cheapest way would be to run the truck accessories and intake. The truck PCM and harness will work just fine with the LS6. You will have to tune it though, it obviously won't run its best with the truck programming.

to put a Z06 into a silverado would take quite a bit of work. i mean you can't just drop a corvette in the bed

now putting an LS6 into a truck is a little easier

Perhaps on the next episode Monster Garage......

GM Performance Parts sells two ls6's. One is a short block at/about $5,000.oo and comes with F and Y body oil pan. The other is a long block and comes with coil packs, manifolds (intake and exhaust), injection system, every thing but the acc and is just shy of $6,000.oo. You can sell the stuff you dont need to get some of your cash back. I think the long block will be cheaper over all.

I didn't know that the F/Y car accessories would work in the truck...I always thought that you had to use the truck intake (or convert the fuel system) and all of the accessories and oil pan from the truck?
