Would this combo work good on a truck?

it depends what you want to do with it. It would work great if you just want to race and have a RC. But the ZO6 heads will raise your compression quite a bit. I would think that you would be running near an 11.0 compression ratio, which I think is to much for an HD truck and to much if you tow.... you can run into some Knock retard issues with a compression ratio that high on a truck.

Id say more like 10.5:1 with the 62cc chamber of the LS6 heads. You can put a fatter gasket in if you want also. To lower CR a tad. They are good heads. Big runners, good flow, light sodium filled valves.
