if i dont want it to be a dog off of the line i would be better off with a 212/218 or the 216/220? Does anyone have idle/cruising clips of their cam they can post?

If you dont want to lose any low end I wouldnt go any more as far as duration is concerned then the 212/218. But it all depends on what your goals are, what stall you are going with, any other mods in the future, etc.

for the money you'll spend on a cam and everything you'll get more gains from a converter. Parish well listed the best bang for buck mods as 1) 6.0 swap 2) nitrous 3) converter

I was about to do the same thing you are (run biggish cam with stock stall) until I realized how stupid that was.

granted these are all opinions...my friends truck has a tr224 in his 5.3 with stock stall and drives totally fine...when u come to a stop it does pulsate the brakes a little...i wouldnt hesitate to run a 'larger' cam with a stock stall, then again im not at the track every weekend either...
