Default Yet again, racking my brain over cams.

Ok. I already have a TR224 112 right now. Friend of mine is telling me its not a good combo because it will pull too high to be useful in a truck. That aside, I wanted to see what CamMotion would reccomend. They shot me these specs: 218/222 .564/.572 114LSA. I dont know that much about cams. So I dont know which will suit my application better. Anybody have some input for me here?

What do you mean pull too high? I guess you mean that you need a pretty big stall for the tr224... this is in a 5.3l right?

The specs they shot you seem pretty right on.

A friend of mine's brother in law owns cam motion, he tells me they have a badass cam for teh 5.3, but he won't reveal anything more than "the lift is more than .500. I wonder if its the same "secret cam"

just put the cam in the 6.0 and with the tci 3000 that you have it will work perfect.

Thunder Racing Custom Camshaft - 224/224 .563/.563 112 LSA 1700-6600 RPM Power Band. Excellent mid-range & high RPM power. Requires computer tuning on automatic transmission cars. Due to the fast ramp rate of this camshaft, the use of 1.8 rockers is not recommended.

this cam seems like a good choice to me. is it going in you rcsb?

Yes it is. That powerband is in an LS1 though. I just wonder what RPM it will pull to in a 6.0.

exactly! it will be somewhat lower and with a little stall in your light truck, I think it will rip.
