Yes the exhaust pipes are uneven, but I would think there would only be an unequal flow of exhaust gases during startup because the volume of exhaust gases haven't filled the pipes, etc. But after the truck is running, the space in which the gases are flowing (the exhaust pipe) are filled and the x-pipe balances out the exhaust pulses thus creating an efficient-equalized flow. Then again, thats my theory.
