From the manifolds back to just before the muffler.

 

Mods, if you want to move this to the for sale section that's fine. I thought it might get more attention from people here who've ripped off the stock stuff for headers.

 

all 2500's came with at least the 6.0. which means none have a y pipe there all just 2 3/4 inch piping for true dauls.

 

OK, then is the 1500 y-pipe 2 3/4 pipe on each side? I picked up a 3/4 ton muffler and tailpipe from a guy on craigslist. It is much bigger. My 1/2 ton has a single pipe into and out of the muffler. I measured it and it's 2 3/4". The 3/4 ton has two inlets and outlets from the muffler. At the tailpipe end it measures 3.5". If that's the case I'll just have an exhaust shop cut my y after the cats and weld up some pipe to mate to the 3/4 ton exhaust pipe.

I'm want the truck to be quiet as I use it for hunting in the fall.

I am going from the 4.8 to a 6.0 with LS3 heads and a Z06 cam swap and thought with the added power I'd like to have a little better exhaust than headers. Like I said I don't want it loud.
