Would LS9 cam work for 5.3 with LSA supercharger
I have 2005 Silverado with 5.3 and bought a LSA supercharger to put on send thought I might throw in a cam while I'm in the process. Would a LS9 cam be a good choice since it was designed a for boost, I've seen other people post that it will rob you of low end to torque without on applications without boost ? This will be a daily driver for now. I have seen a couple of videos with s ,5.3 with LS9 and seem to idle and sound really nice. I appreciate any guidance, thank you.

The ls2 cam wont work like an exact drop in just like the ls9. They dont have the rear tone ring. Youd need an ls2 front cover, cam extension harness, 1x timing gear just to make it work.
It seems like you are trying to stay with a stock cam to keep it cheap, but you just arent going to get the same perf as with a tsp stg 1 truck cam or even a stg 2 for a 5.3. great boost cams and still use ls6 springs if you want.

I was trying to keep my cost down as much as possible and most of the parts to convert to a front cam sensor setup wasn't too bad. Any help idea on what kind of cost a TSP cam would be? I do appreciate the guidance, thank you

385 shipped from us.
The front cover kit is ~$90 the harness is ~$35 and cam gear is ~$26 so its still about $150 added to the cost. plus all the rest of rhe normal parts to replace.

Thats a better price than the Crane cam I inquired about. Will be in contact when it is closer time of needing the cam, thanks RPM Speed Tech. Can you give a shop contact number, I appreciate your help.
