If you plan on staying N/A and have the money for it than yes. If you plan on boost then it would be wiser to apply the money towards that.

The Lsxrt is the best option IMO for aftermarket intake manifold, they tend to keep lowend tq but gain 20-30rwhp above 4K. Some people have had issues with tuning them though, so maybe be pre pared for that.

I had the LSXRT with the FAST fuel rails and let me tell you this, DO NOT BUY! It is way more headache than it should be. Took us around a week fiddling with it to fit properly without leaking fuel everywhere. I'm sure other fuel rails will be way better than FAST's. However, you will only see some minor gains if you shift at say around 6400-6500, which is not worth it in my opinion and the 20-30 rwhp gains they claim is ridiculous and absurd.

Interesting. This is kinda hard to believe when the rest of the world has nothing but good things to say about the lsxr and lsxrt intakes. Could you explain what exactly is wrong with the fuel rails, that caused them to leak fuel?

Was the truck ever tuned with the new intake, and which setup did you have it on?

Simply put, the design and quality of the fuel rails are crappy. My setup was a very mild cam, headers, exhaust, CAI, and the LSXRT and fast fuel rails. And I never drive untuned, but that doesn't even matter in this case because it was a physical/mechanical issue and has nothing to do with tuning. There are tons of horror stories circulating online and in forums but I never believed any of them until I tried and tested it on my own.
I think you'll enjoy this definitive thread on the matter.
