I have the 2004 vho with the lq9 6.0. I have been looking at a few things and talk to a few people but I really would like to know if the trail blazer stall will work well with this cam. Here are the specs
DUR @ .004" 278*/286*
DUR @ .050" 216*/224*
LIFT .551/.551
OVERLAP 57*
LSA 113*
Will this thing run really well or is it to aggressive. I can get a really good deal on this one. the other thing is going with the cam marc w has but the high lift version. I don't want to fork out the money for a $700 converter either. I drive 40 miles a day in stop and go traffic and would like it to be fun on the street but also tear up the track pretty good. thanks for any input.

Im not sure how much if any lowend you would lose with that cam, but I would look for a used VIG 2800 instead. The tb doesnt have near the str that the vig does. I prefer to wait and get deals on the parts I want instead of settling.

I don't understand how someone will spend $20K to $30K on a truck, and not want to spend the money for a good converter??? I understand that a good converter is pricey, but considering the labor involved, I wouldn't "settle" either. I'm just not convinced that a TrailBlazer converter is a worthy mod, especially if you are paying someone to install it. Why take a chance? Why not get what is proven to work. I drive my truck everyday 60 miles and probrobally half of which are stop and go. My converter isn't even noticed. No bullshit, it has EXCELLENT street manors, and I'm super picky. Drivability is my MAIN concern, that's why I only opted for a .212/.218 cam for my 6.0L. Sure I will be leaving a lot on the table with that cam, but I NEED my truck to run flawlessly everyday. Save up and get a real converter. That's my opinion, and I'm entitled to it. I'm BADMOFO, and I approve this message.
