I have an 01' 6.0L LQ4 in my 71' Suburban. One of the heads has a small crack in it so I'm looking to replace them. Would putting a set of LS1 or LS6 heads off an F-body be good or bad power wise? Or should I just look for another set of 6.0 heads? Thanks.

 

LS1/6 heads are chambered smaller than the Lq4/9 's

 

LS6 heads would add power due to increased compression. They'll cost you though. If money is an issue, just stick to 6.0 heads. LS1 heads flow less than 6.0 heads.

 

i put ls1 heads on my lq4 but i ported them out before i put them on..but the ls6 head would be the way to go
