Default Will this muffler work?

I've found a muffler on ebay and I was wondering if it would work with the stock pipes on my 04 silverado. It's a 2.5 OD. I think I've seen somewhere that the stock pipe is 2.75. Would a 2.5 work with it?

you could make it work, but personally I wouldn't want to go down in size. If I had to go one way or the other, I would go 3 inch also.
