will a CAM ONLY 5.3l run 10's....???

thunder racing Trex cam.... biggest cam i have ever seen a 5.3l have....FTW!!!

You'll need that 5800 stall haha. I hope you did a little bit of work to the bottom end so you can crank that thing up to 7500+ rpm

yea thats alot of cam for those stock heads, but with that converter and tbrake should= a heck of alot rpm's and a wild ride, and a fun one at that..

10's out of that should be easy.

nope...100% stock.... if it comes apart another $400 and we have a new one...lol

it probably can.... why not slap a good set of heads and a kit on it and go single digits though...

its going to have to stay damn close to 2000lbs to get it there consistantly IMO.

got heads and a kit and rod bolts for it (or another one) but we gonna run this one CAM only on pump gas and then go from there next step will be alcohol... then rod bolts and kit then heads (home ported and professionally milled .030)

If you can make an honest 400 hp at the flywheel it should go 10's. The glide is the only thing that might be a problem. I think you would run quicker with a 3spd.

at 2400lbs, 10's should be a breeze.

I agree. He doesn't have the torque to run a glide. If you're going for the budget thing do a 5.3L with 4.8L pistons, PRC gold springs, monster cam like your T-rex, and E85. Other than the glide your setup is great for your goal. You just need to get the compression up.
