Why is my exhaust louder when truck is cold
#1
Hey guys Ive kinda always wonder this...it seems that when my truck is still cold or warming up the exhaust tone is def. deeper and louder...does the truck fuel itself differently when cold??...also Ive been seeing torque management around on the sight and what the big gain with this off...I was thinking about getting a tuner but Ive got a 5 speed so there isnt that much I can do is there is there(as far as increasing fuel mileage??)...
Thanks for the help guys

Probably because its at a higher RPM when it first cranks up and then as it warms up the idle goes to where it needs to be.
I don't know if there is torque management in a manual, but I know that in the autos it is used to to remove timing during shifts and a few other things to prolong tranny life.
Hope that was some help.

so in honest opinion, do you really think its worth the money for a tuner seeing I make the shots for shifting and whatnot...I just dont really wanna spend $400 for 5 hp...lol well lemme know whatcha guys think...thanks

well a GOOD tune will add decent amounts of timing where they are needed and should make a decent improvement over the stock tune; power wise you should feel a difference just from the tune. IMO
