Default Why is it doing this?

My truck has been acting crazy the last couple of days, and the truck just started surging like it was loosing power and getting it back, so when I get there I notice that it has started smoking white smoke out of the left tail pipe. I was thinking maybe a head gasket but i am not sure i checked the dipstick nothing, coolant was fine and said well I will take it to the dealrship and they put the computer on it and it said a misfire on #7 they said my injector was stuck open. So i go out buy an injector and put it on and that still wasn't it, I went ahead and replaced the plugs and wires also now i notice that there is oil all around my front left tire and under my procharger. I had just changed the oil 2 days ago because it said oil level was low and now its not showing much on the dipstick I could not even see where the leak was coming from so I took a the pipe off of my intake that the Pro Charger is hooked to and this is what I see.

The procharger uses its own oil but it does not look like the procharger oil it looks and smells like engine oil I was wondering how this is happening and what my problem is thanks Allan.

Misfire on #7 and burning oil sounds like you might have a problem with the rings or even a hole in the piston....do a compression test and see what it comes up with. Not sure why you would be getting oil around the front left tire though, so it may be something different.

Excessive blowby (through the EGR tube) could put oil right behind the TB and might be how it ended up in your picture. That much oil might cause a misfire too. Was the smoke white or blue? Water burns white and you can smell the glycol antifreeze.

Had the same problem. When I pulled the motor, 4 of the pistons rings fell off as they came out of the bore. Mine was pretty bad, see pics below. Compression test is what you need to do.

Yep. 4 of mine looked like brians picture. I went with another motor. You could easily re-ring it and be good to go but if youre going to tear it down that far you might as well bore it out a little. Good excuse for a 370ci
