i think a few people on here dislike" them because flowmaster concentrates on sound 1st and performance 2nd. most people here want performance 1st and sound 2nd.
personally i have had both flowmaster and magnaflow. i like both very much, except i got the chance on gettin a free catback magnaflow system and went for it. with the magnaflow i did notice an improvement from the flowmaster. they both have thier pros and cons

I was really wanting a MAgnaflow system but cash flow wasnt there. A truck got traded in at work with this system and I switched them out.Only had to pay to get a muffler installed on my old setup. What are yall magnaflow guys running for a muffler? Any sound clips??

i do like the sound of a flowmaster. but i hated the drone it had while cruising. plus i wanted mine a little quieter. i have a magnaflow muff now even with no cats and it sound great. heck when i am at 70mph on the freeway i can barely hear it.
but when i stomp on it it sounds mean and a little loud also.

Why do most of you think that Flowmasters aren't good for performance! It seems most people think because you can't see straight through them they don't flow good. Does anyone have any back to back dyno or track results against Flowmaster eshaust. I have dynoed engines with and without exhaust and raced in the muscle car circuit for many years and Flowmasters are used the most and work great. A few months ago I was dynoing a 632ci BB Chevy for a N/Pro Street car the motor made 1297hp open headers and 1285hp with the complete Flowmaster exhaust system off the car! Sounds like pretty good performance to me and they sound great too!
By the way the car holds the class record!

Flows dont flow that well. A straight piece of pipe flows better than a Flowmaster!!
