Do y'all think with a 2000 stall I would beat him for sure. I don't want to drop my tranny so I would only do a mild one. My truck has 104,000 miles. Will my 4L60E with a transgo and vette servos hold the mild stall?

Thanks,
Nick

I would like to beat him with the 20's, if possible. Don't want to look like a sissy.

Also, is that the way to start but your foot on the brake, give it gas and take off like a converter? Should I put on tow/haul? The shifts are a lot firmer. Any other tips. Thanks.

I raced an 04' RCSB Z71 with the same mods as my 04' RCSB 2WD. I only beat him by a tenth in the quarter. We were both without any wieght reducts and he had 4.10's and 285/75/16's. I think it would be a good race, but dont count him out just because of a couple more pounds.

This was also at 4,000ft elevation plus what ever the DA was, so I cant be sure of how mine and his would have run at sea level.

I think it's funny you're scared to race him if you aren't sure you will win. If you are 100% sure you will win, then why race??
