i vote for the 243s, because he has better compression with them, 11.5:1, wich will be better for the cam.

243's were designed to work with a 3.78"-3.90" bore, more specifically 3.90". L92's were designed to work with 4.00" bores & larger. My money is still on the L92's. Besides, you can have them milled to get the compression where you want it. Throw a good valve job on top of that & you're set.

Edit: here's a good read on port velocity

I vote 243s because the L92s have super intake runners and crappy exhaust so they like more split in the cam and I would think the cam would be more like a 228 236 or something like that
