Default Who runs cats with their long tubes?

I have a set of pacesetters and want to run cats. If your running cats with your long tubes, what kind of y-pipe do you have? Did you build a custom y-pipe? Would it hurt to reuse my stock cats? Any pictures would be appreciated.

stock cats won't fit on the pacesetters very well. The Pacesetter collectors are 3" and if i remember, the stock cats are 2.25-2.5ish

I'm running a reducer from 3" to 2.5" on each collector, into some 2.5" Magnaflow cats, into a modified stock y pipe. No pictures right now, and it's sort of hacked together and leaking like crazy.

No pics but when I had my 04 crew cab, I was running a set of Arizona Speed & Marine LT's, though I think they were more mid length/long tubes. Used my stock y-pipe and cut the pipes in front of the cats short and welded them up, it was almost a perfect fit, had to use a pry bar a bit to get them on the collectors, but not much.

Ran it like that for a while with no issues, I didn't have a bunch of miles on my cats when I did the swap though.

the magnaflow cats dont like any kind of rich conditions while tuning for boost . i learned the hard way but got a decent set of dummy shells out of it.
