Default Who is running LT's In Cali?

I am dying to get a set of Pacesetters LT's For my truck. I know im in cali and they are not smog legal. I want to keep the cats. My current exhaust starts right after the Cat on the passenger side. Goes into an x pipe and then on to dual single chambers. I know i may be losing some hp with the flows but they are last on my list to change. So if i put on these LT's will i just have to have something fabbed up to go from the end of the headers to where my x pipe is?

My truck is an 03 and my registration is due in august. Havent had to smog it yet..when will i have to? Anyone from california with long tubes chime in here please...Can it pass the sniffer minus a visual? Thanks guys!

If your smog check is that close you might be better off waiting until its completed to do the LT header mod.

if you bought new in 03, yes 08, then it would be worth it IMO

Just throwing this option out there in case you didn't know about it since TOG closed up shop. There is still a manufacturer making smog legal Mid-lengths. Bassani Optimum Length Headers. They will be a bit more expensive than the Pacesetters though.

I ahve the TOG's. Have had them for about 2 years. Great quality with a bad price tag. I would go for the Pacesetters and swap them out when you need to smog it. I dont think Midlengths give more than 5rwhp over shorties.

Ya i looked up the Bassanis. They look like an awesome product but not for near 700. I will go with the Pacesetters, and when the exhaust guy fabs somethin up ill design it so it can be returned to stock. I think i can figure somethin out. Id like to see some pics if anyone has of mounted pacesetters.

Thanks

Matt
