Default Who makes good quality cams?

I've got a 05 4.8, and I'm wanting to put in a new cam. I've been looking at CompCams, Crane, and Lunati. What are y'alls opinions about the quality of their products? Also, if y'all have any suggestions for the cam I should get, that would also be appreciated as well. I want something thats good for low-end to midlevel torque but has a mild lope. This is a daily driver. I was thinking 270°/
279°-212°/221°-116, but let me know if I'm off.

Again, I appreciate it guys!

Thunder Racing makes a good cam too. What are the full specs on your truck 2wd or 4wd ec or rc are you going to go with a stall converter? How much of a hit are you willing to take in the gas mileage. Are there any mods on the truck? Are you willing to get a custom tune?

List -o- Mods:
Wait4Me tuning
thorley headers
si/do magnaflow

Its a 2wd 4.8 ECSB with a 4L60e, and I wasn't thinking about getting a stall converter because I'd like to keep as much of the gas mileage as possible. However, if the best cam for what I want requires a stall converter I won't object to getting one.

I know, I know, I'm asking for both gas mileage and performance...

-edit-
Did I list the specs wrong for the cam in my first post?

The ever popular Comp 212/218 sounds like it would fit the bill. You can get a trailblazer stall that will keep all your daily driveability but brake stall to 2500 to get you in the cam power band quicker. You can get a Dacco reman tb stall for like 160-200.

I've had Crane and Comp in my engine and no problems here so far!!

I with him...the 212/218 would be fine for daily driving....you really don't want nothing to big for every day use.

I have the 212/218 with the TB stall and it is very streetable, the lope is not big but you can tell it is in there.

VHP 062 (210/218, .551/.551, 112). Right now I have a stock converter and it is fine, but I also have a 5.3 and RCSB. This cam should also be really good with a TB converter.

Thanks for all the suggestions guys, but now I'm wondering what makes a Trailblazer's converter so special? How is it different than the Silverado's?

Oh, okay. Do I just pick one up from a junkyard or is there a dealer who sells those? Would something like a yank 2400 stall converter do the same thing?
