I've ran dual 2 1/2 bullets on my 95 and with an x pipe it would drone your brains out at 1600 rpms. Without the x no drone but it had a subtle cackle to it at WOT but still a nice sound, just stupid loud. My old man claimed he could he me start it clear across town which was all of a mile and a half or so as the crow flies, still thats pretty dang loud though. I changed it up and took my x pipe and cut it in half and stuck a 4 inch bullet in the middle of it. Basically a dual in dual out single 4 inch bullet. Still a bad drone at 1600 but otherwise sounds good.
On my 99 I just put a Dynomax ultraflow welded on it a month ago. Sounds very much like the stock 6.2 Denali exhaust but its just a straight through 18 inch case length muffler. Can hardly tell its there going down the road.

lq4 243 heads 222 224 comp pacesetter lts, no cats, 2.5'' true duals, x pipe. sounds great at idle and at wot. Drone is terrible, im taking them off for something with less drone. the bullets are only about 12'' long and 3" id

Here is my friends truck, SBChvy. He has LTs, no cats with a 3" bullet to a 4" duramax exhaust tail pipe. Truck sounds freakin awesome, second to none! He gets complemented on the sound almost everyday.
