After installing a throttle body spacer began getting loud whistling noise from intake. Gets louder w/ RPMs. Is this normal for the PowerAid type TBS or, as I read in a post elsewhere, could this be a vacuum leak? Doesn't seem to hurt performance, but then again, I may not know what I am missing.

Assistance appreciated.

 

Nope that is normal for the PowerAid spacers. The helix bore is what makes them whistle.

 

mine whistles while it works tooo...

Wait until it gets cold, then that hing really howls. Wait your in Hawaii, just take my word for it <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

The noise is completly normal for that type of spacer.

 

Heck, I just removed my MAF screen and now it whistles I can only imagine what a spacer would do.

 

my MAF is descreened also...
get ready to turn some heads if you put the spacer in.... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" /> (you may run into some space problems if you put in an CAI and the spacer...)
