Default Whipple problems!!

Hey I have a 2002 Chevy RC with 5.3 and want to add a whipple but have heard some bad things about them, does any one know about any problems i may have, and also will i need to build the stock tranny for the extra horsepower, and do i need to get a full exhaust. Please help me out. Im not sure if i should buy won or will end up regreting it in the long run.

The best thing to do is call up www.superchargers4less.com I got my supercharger from him without the electronics for $2900. The only thing you need then is 42lb. injectors and a custom tune www.nelsonperformance.com can get you hooked up there. I would say with about 8psi you will be running mid to high 13's add a cam and stall and you will probley be running high 12's low 13's. Good luck and hope this helped

The whipple twin screw is a more efficient air pump than the radix is. I agree with yellowsierra. Buy the S/C without any electronics, 42lb injectors and get a tune. The biggest drawback to the whipple is the lack of an intercooler, but an LS1 intake and a little fabrication and that's not that large a problem either.

You may want to contact whipple directly. They priced a new S/C without electronics to me for $1800.
