Not an air to air but, Ryan23Silverado has a whipple with a custom made air-water intercooler that he and some friends fabbed up. The results have been outstanding. There are some pictures on his website.

I would guess that a properly setup air-air would have equally beneficial results.

How would you "properly" set one up? Air goes in one way and out the other right? (lol i know NateZ = newb)

A D-max intercooler would work great for a air-air set up. The bigest draw back from an air-water is the cost. A D-max intercooler is $350.oo.

Most intercoolers are also bi-directional so it can go in either side and come out either side

Nate
Just meant a properly sized and positioned one, like you said not much to setting it up.

The 2 core that comes with the procharger kit is not worth considering. It's way too small.

I bought mine from griffin for $350 and they make it what ever size you want. I would consider using the LS6 instead of LS1 because it flows alot beter. +20hp compared to the LS1.

LS1 manifold is cheap though ($35 used on here) Do it Nate. You will like 12psi without having to refill an alky tank all the time. The torque is incredible with more boost on these twin scew compressors too You seriously give it quarter throttle and you are hitting psi numbers like 6-7psi...a tad more and you hit 8,10,12 really quickly
The only trouble is figuring out how to plumb the piping, but that still isn't hard.
