Default Whipple / fuel PSI help needed quickly!!

I just installed my electric fuel pressure gauge...

Im reading 50 psi at idle w/regulator connected, 58 psi at idle w/ regulator disconnected, and 56-57 at WOT at the 1-2 and 3-4 shifts.

My whipple instructions say that i need a minum of 61 psi +/- 2 psi at idle, and no lower than 59 psi at WOT (although it says the factory allowed range is 55-62 psi).

It says to get a new gauge if it is not correct, or take in to get fixed, but it is a brand new autometer gauge.

Any ideas?? Please?? I am hoping to install this thing tomorrow. The only thing not jiving with the instructions is that I have 1/4 tank of fuel, and they want 1/8 tank. Will the extra 1/8 tank really make a difference?

03 5.3 Silverado, 37,000 miles, new fuel filter at 29,000 miles.

Thanks, Bob

those numbers sound fine to me. slap that bitch on there.

the time to really keep an eye on the gauge is after you get the boost and at the top of each gear. you will clearly see the needle dip right before the shift once the pump is maxed out.

I love my whipple. Did you install the controller, or opt for programming?
