I was at the "hang out" tonight where all the nice cars and trucks are and got to conversating with this dude about motors. somehow his friend chimed in and said i know this cat with a polished whipple for a 5.3 application for sale. I instantly said how can i contact this guy. He gave me the number and i let it go from there. He wants a 1K for it. That seems sorta cheap to me.. I was wondering if it had internal damage or something wrong with it to be selling for a grand..should i even try to call the guy about it or just leave it alone as a B/S story some guy was feeding me?

It doesn't hurt to call and find out the details. Don't know why you even posted, I would have been all over that, and THEN posted to brag about it

You never know!!! I bought mine for $500. I just had to put the guys truck back to stock.

If you turn the pulley by hand and it feels smooth the unit is probably ok.
