Default Whipple?

Whats the fastest you want to spin a twin screw supercharger? Is 22,000 RPMS to much I'm fabing up the intercooler and was thinking about cranking the boost up to about 15-16 PSI. I will post some pictures as soon as the peices are done at the machine shop.

Max rpm's for the Whipple is 13500. I would say 22000 may be pushing the life of the blower a little

I have a 3" on the blower and 7.5 crank pulley plus I turn the motor to 6500 rpms so that = 16250 rpms

crank pulley/blower pulley * your max rpms of the motor = your blower speed.

I was thinkin about getting a 2.25" maybe 2" blower pulley made and that should get me in the 15 psi range I know SVT mustangs with the whipples blowers turn past 20,000 rpms!

If you are willing to experiment, I am willing to listen I totally think you should go for it. So few are really willing to see how far it will go.
I would definatley be spraying quite a bit of meth and have a good intercooler.

I'm sure for warranty reasons and such they rate it lower than what it can actually do. I also think thats a constant rpm rating, but not sure. I fiqure if you keep the oil changed in the blower it will probably be fine. It's not like it's going to see that many rpm's every second the truck is running anyway.
I dont think you can fit a 2 inch pulley on it though. The snout of the Whipple is pretty big. Just groove the snout and wrap the belt around it

I'm getting a 2" pulley made for it right now. It sould be done in a week or so. The peice I'm getting made will be one piece(pulley and hub) unlike the one from whipple where it has 4 allen bolts holding the pulley to the hub. I just hope I can get enough tension on the belt to keep it from slipping. A 2" blower pulley and shifting the motor at 6000 rpms will be spining the blower to 22500 rpms and it should be makin around 15-16 psi after the intercooler.

Any chance you'd be willing to sell your 3 inch pulley??

What kind of belt are you using? If your not using a Goodyear gatorback, then switch to that. Thats what i'm running and havent had any belt slip problems yet.
