Default Where did you go for your crank relearn?

I installed my new pcm and tcm from black bear performance in my 08 silverado 5.3 CC, and I need to do the crank relearn procedure. I have tried a place with a snap on scanner and a place with a HPtuner. No success. The HPtuner was close, but the HPtuner has trouble with the "drive by wire" setup. I believe it cannot get the tps to zero percent.
I guess we need to find someone with a GM tech2 scanner. (other than at a dealership)

What have you guys done? Or told the dealership why you need it done??

Thanks...Kevin

I just went to the local dealer, but I was out of warranty so I didn't have to worry about any red flags going up...I thought that HP Tuners and EFI Live could perform crank relearns?

oops I guess I was thinking of the wrong thing...thats for the security relearn...

Security Relearn Procedure Steps
1.) Attempt to start the car by turning the key to the Start/Run Position.

2.) Observer that the vehicle fails to start and that the security light is illuminated.

3.) Release key to the 'ON/Accessory' Position. (DO NOT turn key to the 'OFF' position).

4.) Allow the vehicle to sit with the key in the 'ON/Accessory' Position for at least 11 minutes.

5.) Turn key to 'OFF' position and allow the vehicle to remain in the 'OFF' position for no less than 30 seconds.

6.) Repeat steps 1-5 for 3 cycles.

7.) On 4th attempt, your car should now start.

if you do this I would suggest putting the battery charger on it just to be safe...it wont work if the batt drop below 10.5v...

You might try contacting Justin and see if he can send you out a cable so you can do the Crank Re-learn yourself.... Do you have a laptop or access to one?

The newest version of EFILive can do it. I did a guy's 08 Silverado about 2 months ago.
