Default where to buy parts and prices

i am looking into taking out about 10k in a loan to go ahead and fix up the truck. im looking at a 05+ lq4, 4l80e, shift kit, lt headers with ORY pipe, and a cam. what should i look to pay for each of these and where do yall buy from. I know NOTHING about cams so i dont know what to look for. it has to be streetable but i dont mind a strong lope. any suggestions. what kind of 1/4 times should i expect with 4.10's in an ECSB. thanks

alot of the cam choices depend on how you run the truck, if you want a street strip stay under 230 duration on 112 lsa, but toning or all out daily use is another story. Is the goal just a good street strip deal or all out street? sponsors ----> have stuff on the 4l80e swap check it out. cam isn't a huge deal but it can be if you go to big, I would look at probably the TR224/224 112 or something similar, but you will need a 3000+ stall to really take affect. headers is kind of a choice, the best cheap ones that are good is pacesetter plus easy install but you will need to fab up the rest of the exhaust. stainless works makes a nice header plus have some tubbing with them, also Dyna has some really nice headers but are $$. I would guess times after everything is running good in the 13 second range.

i was looking at pacesetter headers and they make an off road y pipe for them, i dont really know what a stall does but i do pull a trailer occasionally, 2-3 fourwheelers on a 16 ft. i want to run well on the street but want to kick *** at the track. im hoping for 12's all motor. i was thinking about an lq4 with some head work to up compression, pacesetter LT, ORY pipe, hp tuner, intake, custom duals, cam, and 4.10 gears with locker. i found everything but am trying to find places for the motor and tranny at a decent price.

This sounds like my setup. I just need a 3.90 gear

I know this post is hella old, but when I owned the truck it ran 12.86 @ 105mph N/A and 12.04 @ 114mph on a little shot. Not sure what that thing runs now with that new motor in it.

look at sig...

I dont think you need headwork to dip into the 12's, this is what I would do:

6.0/cam
stall, 4.10gear
FLT level 5
all bolt ons...
