Default When will OBX's be not enough?

I found out a couple weeks ago, how much my exhaust was holding me back.. Now I wonder if my OBX's or 2.. Guess I don't know how for I can go with them.. I'm looking for 400rwhp, the calculator says I'm close. So how much is everyone else making through OBX's? Before I drop a grand on some ARH's..

if i understand you correctly you're asking if one set of long tube headers is more efficient than another for a 400hp. application? I can't see how you're being held back?

I'm doing just fine with an old used welded up set of tube

And your setup relates to his how? Superchargers don't gain much, if anything from longtubes.

IIRC, HirdleJ's 6.0 was held back by the OBX headers and he now has 1 7/8". I have 1 7/8s but I'm not sure how much they help, if anything over 1 3/4 on a h/c 6.0. I think it really comes down to how much you are willing to spend.

Well ObX's has 2.5 collectors, I'm sure you know that.. I do plan on spraying, so I wonder if the OBX's will be enough.. If someone is making big power with them, I'll keep them.

Was it the the tube size or the collector size? If seen a thread somewhere on a s/c vette, were tube sizes made no difference in hp

I have asked the same question before because I am about to do P/P 762 heads custom ground cam and TBSS intake on my 5.3l...and the answers i got were the collector size might be a hindrance... So i am going modify the y pipe to run 2.5" true duals and if thats doesnt get me 400rwhp i have a set of used LPP long tubes with 3" collectors i can get pretty cheap.

Hope that helps...Good luck with your build!
