Default Wheel hop???

How many of you guys out there have wheel hop? I picked up quite a bit of wheel hop after I installed my converter.

What do ya'll think will be the best way to get rid of it?

Try adjusting the tire pressures. 24-30 psi in the rears.

If that doesn't help, some sort of traction bars that tie into the frame from the axle.

You really need to invest in a traction bar. Or take off the front sway bar and put the cheapest rear shock you can find on the rear which will be softer than the stock shocks which will give you more squat in the rear.

Well, my truck is lowered, so there really is no way of changing up the shocks, and I love the handling, so there is definitely no way I will remove the front sway bar. I am looking maybe getting some CalTrac traction bars. But I am going to lower the air pressure in my tires some first.

These will help tremendously.

Go to Home Depot and buy some cement bags.

Or, have a friend drive and make you sit in the bed, since you are ugly and have a big gut.

Either way your problem has been solved!

Maybe I should just load your fat butt in the bed of my truck! But then I wouldn't have to worry about wheel hop because I would have no pick up at all with the load I'd be carrying.

Atleast I don't worry about my truck breaking at the track and having a really expensive tow bill to get it back home. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

Cal Tracs like Oxider is showing in the pic. Those ******* properly set up RULE for traction. Those or South Side Machine bars but I am not sure if they make em for the trucks. Gonna be hard to solve it on a lowered truck, not enough weight transfer to the rear. You could also follow Hyde's advice and put some drag shocks on it and ditch the sway bar but it will handle like **** on the street. If it was me, I would just put on a set of Cal Tracs and run some GOOD DOT tires at the strip, like ET Streets. That should let it hook.
